Emergency Incident Updates

There are a number of active wildfires across the landscape in the FVRD electoral areas. Wildfires are a natural part of the environment and in most cases do not pose threat to people or property.

Area B – Coquihalla Lakes Area - Mine Creek Wildfire

  • Due to favorable wildfire fighting conditions, the BC Wildfire Service has recommended the FVRD rescind (downgrade) the evacuation order for the Coquihalla Lakes area. The evacuation alert remains in place.

The BC Wildfire Service is the agency authority responsible for wildfire operations management.     The FVRD encourages residents to sign up for public emergency notifications with Alertable. Visit fvrd.ca/alerts to sign up to receive emergency alerts by phone, text, email, and mobile app. Sign up for alerts in all ways you prefer to be informed. For this particular area, sign up to be informed for “Fraser Valley B.”
