Current Update:
The FVRD Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) has returned to routine operations following the March 2026 Atmospheric River event.
We would like to thank the public for your preparedness and cooperation throughout this weather event. We also want to recognize and thank our partners for their ongoing support and coordination during the emergency response.
While imminent risks have subsided, the FVRD would like to remind residents and business owners of our Hazard Report and Emergency Management Plan. These resources outline the hazards that can affect our region and provide information to support preparedness planning at home, at work, and in your community.

Emergency Incident Updates
Below you’ll find key information about incidents where we have held a coordination role. Many incidents occur that do not rise to the level of impending threat to life and property. There are a number of active wildfires across the landscape in the FVRD electoral areas. Wildfires are a natural part of the environment and in most cases do not pose threat to people or property. When they do create risk to communities and properties, FVRD is notified by the BC Wildfire Service in partnership with the Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness.
