February 28 - FVRD Adopts 2025-2029 Financial Plan
The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) Board of Directors has adopted the 2025-2029 Financial Plan Bylaw. The focus of this year’s Financial Plan was to stabilize budgets, maximize external funding sources, limit new requests, keep up with public expectations, ensure healthy workspaces and manage ongoing demands from ever-changing environments.
December 11 - IMPORTANT UTILITY BILL DEADLINE FOR FVRD RESIDENTS
The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is reminding FVRD residents of their quarterly utility payment deadline. With the Canada Post labour action affecting delivery of mail, any cheque payments and reminder notices for utility billing are not being delivered.
December 2 - MATSQUI TRAIL REGIONAL PARK AT-GRADE RAILWAY CROSSING CLOSURE
The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) railway has advised Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) and City of Abbotsford of CPKC’s requirement to comply with Transport Canada’s grade crossing regulations by the end of November 2024.
November 29 - FVRD Announces Election of Board Chairs and Vice-Chairs
During the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) inaugural Board of Directors meeting on November 28, 2024, the Board elected the Chairs and Vice-Chairs for the upcoming year.
