Electric Vehicles
Emissions from conventional vehicles account for a significant amount of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the Fraser Valley. We recognize that electric vehicles (EVs) are a clear solution to climate change and air quality concerns, largely due to the fact that B.C.’s electricity is generated from mostly (93%) renewable resources.
Electric vehicles now account for 14% of the FVRD’s fleet. We have also installed five public charging stations throughout the region (five “Level 2” and two “Level 3”) and are looking to expand further.
