Potential Exposure - Hope & District Rec Centre Closed

The FVRD has been advised of a potential COVID-19 exposure at the Hope Arena. Staff were notified by one of the user groups today that several of their members have tested positive for COVID-19. These members attended the facility on Saturday, October 31. Staff are proactively contacting Fraser Health Authority for guidance.

The FVRD has COVID-19 safety plans in place for the Hope and District Recreation Centre, and all user groups are required to have their own safety plans prior to booking the facility. While the risk to staff and the public is low, out of an abundance of caution, we are closing the Rec Centre and Club Child for deep cleaning and while we wait for recommendations from Fraser Health.
