Emergency Operations Centre Update - Nov 26

Seven Evacuation Orders and one Evacuation Alert are in place in the Fraser Valley Regional District. The fvrd.ca/EOC was updated today and now lists Evacuation Orders/Alerts by Electoral Area.

Preparing for the Storm
- Sandbags and sand are available for residents. Find a location near you and remember to bring your own shovel. New locations will be announced over the weekend. Follow @FraserValleyRD for updates.

Team Rubicon on the Ground:
- Team Rubicon Canada is on the ground in our district to assist the Fraser Valley Regional District with Rapid Damage Assessments at properties currently under Evacuation Orders. A group of eight Team Rubicon volunteers have travelled from as far away as Ontario to provide assistance to the FVRD Emergency Operations Centre. Team Rubicon’s current priority is to travel to evacuation order areas over the next week to assess damage to properties currently under Evacuation Orders.
Emergency Status Map:
- The public can track incidents on the Emergency Status Map. View current Evacuation Orders, Alerts, reported incidents, sandbag distribution sites, ESS Reception Centre locations, and road information. It’s important to note that the incidents displayed on the map have been reported to us by the public. Some of the incidents reported may not have been verified or assessed by the FVRD yet. If you would like to report an incident or need assistance please call 778-704-0400.
Reporting an incident:
- Electoral Area residents can report an incident or request assistance by calling our Emergency Operations Centre at 778-704-0400. If there is an immediate threat to persons or property please call 911.
Emergency Social Services
- Evacuees should self-register through the Province for Emergency Support Services (ESS) to learn about services open in your community.
- Residents who have evacuated can visit the Emergency Resources page for links to emergency resources and information.
