Emergency Operations Centre Update

The State of Local Emergency continues for all electoral areas of the FVRD due to immediate danger to life, safety, and health due to the current overland flooding and mudslide risk.  As of 10 am today, there are currently 7 Evacuation Orders and 1 Evacuation Alert affecting 43 properties in Electoral Areas B, D, E, G, and H. If there is an immediate threat to persons or property, please call 911. Residents needing assistance should call the FVRD EOC at 778-704-0400.

We are continuing to work to provide accurate information and taking action to protect the health, safety, and welfare of people and limit damage to properties. Visit www.fvrd.ca/eoc for the most up-to-date information.

Many highways, major routes, and local roads remain closed or partially open. Avoid all travel to evacuated areas and non-essential travel to areas on alert.
