Emergency Orders Rescinded - O'Byrne Rd (Electoral Area E)

The Evacuation Order, issued on November 18, 2021 for 50801 O’Byrne Road is cancelled.  Water levels in the Chilliwack River have receded significantly, reducing the immediate risk of flooding and bank erosion.

While the Evacuation Order is being cancelled, the Chilliwack River continues to present a risk from potential bank erosion. Emergency works are underway to protect the bank from ongoing erosion. Please note that the emergency works are not permanent in nature and they do not protect the property from future flood or high flow events. If conditions change, an Evacuation Alert or Order may need to be reissued.
