Evacuation Alert: Laidlaw, Electoral Area B

An Evacuation Alert has been issued by Fraser Valley Regional District, pursuant to the BC Emergency Program Act, due to potential for flooding caused by heavy rainfall associated with atmospheric river events and a possible release of water from BC Hydro’s Wahleach Dam which could increase flows downstream.  This Evacuation Alert consolidates the Lorenzetta Creek and Wahleach/Jones Creek Evacuation Alerts previously issued on November 27, and expands into a new Evacuation Alert for the Laidlaw area.
