Evacuation Order Issued for Laidlaw Road and McKay Road, Laidlaw, BC

An Evacuation Alert was issued on November 26, 2021 by the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD). The Evacuation Alert has been UPGRADED to an Evacuation ORDER for 12 properties on Laidlaw Road and McKay Road near Laidlaw, BC, Electoral Area B.

The Evacuation Order is due to potential danger to life and property caused by heavy rainfall associated with atmospheric river events which may lead to overflow and flooding from multiple watercourses into surrounding lands.
