FVRD Expands Online Services
November 5, 2021
The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) has expanded its online services making it faster, easier and greener to do business.
By signing up for a myFVRD profile, customers can now manage their FVRD accounts 24/7. Customers can view current and past bills, track payment history, and pay bills all online. Utility customers on a metered service will have the added benefit of tracking their water consumption.
“People expect to conduct business online these days”, said Jason Lum, FVRD Board Chair. “The need for expanded online services and technology upgrades was something our Board identified as a priority in the 2020-2022 Strategic Plan. I am pleased we can deliver on our commitments.”
One new service of interest to those renovating or building a house is access to real-time information about the status of their permit and the ability to schedule a building inspection online.
“This will be a real time-saver for residents and developers,” said Graham Daneluz, FVRD’s Director of Planning & Development. “We're always looking for ways to improve our customer service. Now our customers can schedule an appointment and track their permit when it's convenient for them rather than just during business hours putting an end to the telephone tag that can occur when scheduling appointments.”
In addition to the existing online option to renew or purchase a new dog licence, dog owners will now have the option to sign up for paperless billing, receiving their invoices and reminders online, rather than through the mail.
