FVRD to Observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

On September 30, 2021, the FVRD Chilliwack Office will be closed to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On the same day, the Hope and Area Recreation Centre will be open from 1 – 4 pm. The closure will allow the FVRD’s 100+ employees to observe the holiday.

The FVRD is committed to understanding the truth of our history, learning from it, and helping to create a more inclusive British Columbia.  By observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we stand together with Indigenous peoples and their communities as we look forward to a strong future together.
