As a result of an off-duty incident, a North Fraser Fire Department Firefighter has passed away. At this time, the FVRD is waiting to speak with the grieving family to gauge their comfort level before issuing any further statements.

The FVRD will be supporting those affected by the tragedy privately. We kindly ask for the respect of time and space for all involved during this exceptionally difficult and overwhelming time.
